Teaching Experience:

NASA CAE Teaching Excellence Workshop      Feb 2007
             Attended workshop on learner-centered teaching

REU Mentor       Summer 2006
Acted as the mentor for two participants in the IU REU program. I was responsible for teaching data reduction \& analysis as well as
instructing the general REU program in basic presentation design and technique for their concluding talks and AAS posters.

Instructor Astro 105       Summer 2004, Sept 2005 - July 2006
Designed and taught my own introductory course on Stars \& Galaxies. Adapted the course for condensed Summer sessions as well as for a normal semester night course.

Instructor for Astro 100 via IU Continuing Studies      Sept 2005 - Present
Revised the course material, conducted office hours with students, and graded assignments.

Associate Instructor Astro 100, 105, E105, 222      Sept 2003 - May 2005
Introductory courses on the Solar System, Stars & Galaxies, and Life in the Universe for non-majors and general astronomy for majors.
Assisted with lectures and demos, taught when professor was absent, conducted night-time observing sessions, conducted review sessions, held office hours and graded homework.
