Graduate students in the Department of Astronomy carry out research on the WIYN 3.5-m and 0.9-m telescopes at Kitt Peak, as well as the Department’s robotic 1.25-m telescope in central Indiana.  Beyond IU’s own facilities, our graduate students observe on major optical and radio telescopes around the world, including MMT, Magellan, Keck, VLA, and Arecibo.
