Exploring Greece can be a fascinating experience! The
following pictures were taken this past summer (summer 2001) from my
recent visit to southern Greece. I thought I should share...
Mystras - the castle
This is half the way to the top of the hill. It took
me about three hours to walk all the way up there, but it worth it!

Mystras - one of the churches
The hill (~3000ft) is full of small churches built
between the 12th and the 17th century AD. This is one of the oldest ones,
the Church of Saints Theodore (I think...). It is a typical octagonal
basilica, but the paintings inside, although old, are still amazing.
